Digital marketing across Southern Africa.
Accerstus is a Zimbabwean agency serving Southern African markets. We publish dedicated pages for the countries we actively plan for — not a claim of offices in every capital.
What is Southern Africa?
Southern Africa is the southernmost region of the continent. In trade and media planning it usually means the SADC countries, with a tighter SACU core — South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho and Eswatini — sharing a customs union and, in Namibia’s case, a currency pegged to the rand.
The markets Accerstus currently publishes pages for are Zimbabwe, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Malawi. They do not share one language, one currency or one payment rail. English is a business language across the region; Setswana, Afrikaans, Shona, Ndebele, Bemba, Nyanja and others are the languages of search and WhatsApp. Currencies include the Zimbabwean dollar and US dollar in Zimbabwe, the rand, the Pula, the Namibian dollar, the kwacha and the Malawian kwacha. Treating “Southern Africa” as one media buy is how campaigns waste money.
How we work across the region
Zimbabwe is our home market — the site, the phone number and the city pages in Harare, Bulawayo and Mutare sit there. South Africa has published city pages for Johannesburg and Cape Town. Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Malawi are markets we serve remotely: the copy on those pages says so. We plan around mobile-first use, metered data, WhatsApp-led sales and local payment rails, country by country.
Southern African markets we serve
Each page covers language, currency and how people actually buy in that country. City pages exist only where we already publish them.
